How should I advice my gay best friend?

He keeps saying he doesn't want to be gay. He is religious and he believes he will burn in hell for being gay. I know that's crap, but he seems pretty convinced and i haven't been able to convince him otherwise.

Be supportive. I would step back and say hey if you believe you are being morally wrong and want to stop being gay I'm here for you however you need me to be. I'd tell him that I'm not sure how he needs but if anything ever comes up I'm the one he can trust. That however would NOT stop from telling my opinion that I thought that him being gay was morally injust was such bs. I would probably find evidence i could use to support my argument.





Besides, i am a true believer that your sexual orientation cannot be switched off or on just cause you feel like it. I suspect that he may try not to be gay but will find it absolutely impossible. He may find that if he can't be gay then screw those who disagree. This just may be his journey to realize taht it's okay to be himself. And as a friend just support him one hundred percent of the way. And whatever he chooses to do always tell him it's okay to do that.
Tell him being gay is awesome and he will love it when hes not scared of it. when you accept it, it doesnt really matter, all that matters is that your happy... Trust me im gay so i know what its like and i am so proud of being gay, nothing will make me straight and i dont even wanna be straight cuz im happy being gay :)

Tell him God doesn't care if your gay or straight. If he really believes in being gay, tell him its ok if it feels right. Good luck!

Don't advise him at all. It's a personal growing experiance that he should do alone.

ugh tell him god made him that way for a reason.
