Any advice on best place to buy a vacation home?

I want it to be an income generating source/ investment and also like to visit there at times may be 7-8 times a year. Would like it to be in a beautiful place.I don't want it to be too expensive

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Beautiful vacation spot. Summer fall winter spring. Well mostly summer. And fall. And winter. Not so much spring.Any advice on best place to buy a vacation home?
I don't know where you are from,but I know that many British people have bought land and houses in Agean and Mediterranean regions of Turkey,as far as I can tell 7000 British people,apart from other Europeans,live in those areas.Almost all of them are retired,though.
