What do you think? How is the job markets in NYC?Working in NYC? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
By the way you are typing, you are either using a translator from a different language or speak very poor english.
If I am correct, the language barrier will be very difficult.
However, since you ARE a college graduate, you will be able to find some sort of a job.Working in NYC? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
My family lives in the greater NYC area. Working in the city is tough. I have to ask have you been networking? Any contacts you make now could be essential in finding a job. Finding a place to live in the city can be even daunting than finding a job. I've seen rabbit hutch apartments in dicey neighborhoods going for 3k a month and I told that was a bargain.
One of my sisters works in Mid-town Manhattan and she commutes 90 minutes each way to Scotch Plains NJ. It's the only way she can afford to work in the city and she has an executive position.
If your making under 50k life is very hard in the city. Under a 100k you'll spent 80% of your money on rent, taxes and food.
Shop around, there are other cities in the country. I still hear good things about cities like Denver, Seattle and Philadelpia
Look into Insurance companies like Health First, HIP, etc. They continually need people to work with the large Chinese community. You can also look on Craigslist.org.
You took offense at the comment about your English. It isn't too bad, but it is noticable and you may want to work on it. Good Luck.
I am asian too,I am in NYC,but I am unemployed now.I never been in college, and never took any courses.I was in the US Army for six years.I am trying to find a job as well.
