What is the best advice you have ever gotten?

mine is-

you get more with honey than you do with vinegar.

-my grandmother to my mother to meWhat is the best advice you have ever gotten?
Don't let the sun go down on an argument.

You never know when the argument you have had is the last time you get to speak to that person, so always ensure you part on good terms.

Be quick to say sorry, even if the other person is in the wrong. Generally, they will say ';sorry'; themselves... eventually ;)What is the best advice you have ever gotten?
My parents taught me to have respect for myself and respect for others. Respect can go a long way. You respect your mind and your body... you'll be a lot better off, happy and healthy. Respecting others can lead to potential and love, friendship... an understanding of others and what they've been through and who they are!
';Be Yourself';
';Always be what you are and when people don't like you for that then tell them to take a hike';

-Art Teacher
One piece of advise surprisingly came from my mother in law. She once told me to not get involved in kids squabbles that involve my kids and someone else's unless ones in danger. She said the kids will get over it in a few minutes but adults can be angry forever. How true...
My father told me to always, ';watch your flanks';.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

- Golden Rule
never give up
never DRINK!!!!!
